There are two Beaver Colonies at 1st Keyham.  The Tuesday Beavers meet at the Scout Hut every Tuesday  from 5.45pm – 7.15pm.  The Friday Beavers meet at the Scout Hut every Friday  from 5.45pm – 7.15pm.  There are currently spaces in the Friday Colony due to alot of children becoming 8 and moving up to cubs.

All Beavers should wear their uniform jumpers and scarfs to these Colony nights.

Please see Beaver News to find out what we have been doing over the past few months, to find out what events are coming up please see Beaver Diary (members only)

Beavers are usually aged between six and eight years old, though they can be as young as five and three quarters. If you are interested in joining Beavers at 1st Keyham please contact us here.

Earlier entry is at the Beaver Scout Leader’s discretion (for example, to allow someone a little bit younger to join at the same time as their friends).

A group of Beaver Scouts is called a Colony, and each Colony can be split up into smaller groups called Lodges.

Beavers have a Promise and Motto, but there is not a Beaver Scout Law. The concepts of the Scout Law should be presented to Beavers through games, storytelling and other informal devices.

Don’t forget to check out our Facebook Group. If you aren’t already a member, you’ll need to request to join, as this is a closed group.
